Days after a South Dakota news anchor became the Internet’s latest star, she tells Trending Now that she has no regrets about her off-the-cuff on-air rant.
KSFY anchor Nancy Naeve’s rise to YouTube celebrity began on Sunday night. Her co-worker at the ABC affiliate in Sioux Falls, meteorologist Shawn Cable, broke in to regularly scheduled programming to report a confirmed tornado in the area. The tornado touched down in Hospers, Iowa, which is about 70 miles from Sioux Falls.
Viewers, however, were outraged and took to the phone and Facebook to complain about Cable interrupting the season finale of “Once Upon A Time.”
On Monday morning on the air, Cable showed footage of the tornado and then apologized for interrupting a TV show the night before. Next to him was Naeve, who fiercely rose to his defense.
“No show is as important as someone’s life,” Naeve states. “But I tell you what. If it was your home and your neighbors, you would feel differently. So please don’t do that. That’s not nice.”
So how does a virus invade the human body? Random question but very interesting…watch and find out more! Dare we say ‘enjoy’!?!

Putting on a swimming cap to protect your hair can be no fun. While a new method of accomplishing this by a group of YouTubers does not make the task any easier or efficient, it sure is entertaining to watch.
Gavin Free and Daniel Gruchy are “The Slo Mo Guys.” The English duo, now based in Austin, Texas, will take all type of occurrences and film them at 1,600 frames per second. By shooting more than the typical 25 to 30 frames, Free and Gruchy are able to show things such as a car airbag deploying or paint exploding in super slow motion and with great detail.
For the group’s latest video, they tackle the task of putting on a swimming cap. Naturally, Free decides that simply having Gruchy stretch the cap over his hair would be boring. The two are hanging out by a pool, with Gruchy sitting on the pool’s ledge. Free fills the cap with water, stands on a chair above Gruchy, and throws the cap down onto Grucy’s head as if it’s a water balloon. It does not keep Gruchy’s hair dry, nor does it work on the first attempt. Three tries later, the cap fits snugly, but crookedly, on Gruchy’s head.
Clearly not satisfied, the guys then try a different angle — with Gruchy lying on his back and Free again standing on a chair so he can hold the cap above Gruchy. Gruchy’s head is hanging off the pool’s ledge, and the scene looks like a precursor to a bad accident. The cap is hurled toward Gruchy’s head and ends up in the pool. Save a bit of water in his nose, the crash test dummy escapes relatively unscathed.
“The Slo Mo Guys” published their latest video to YouTube on Tuesday. It has over 260,000 views.
Norwegian YouTube prankster Freddy Fairhair, nee Fred Andreas Ligaard, operates under the assumption that women love to give relationship advice in a new video where he puts their tips to the test.
The rub is that Fairhair takes the advice the women give him and uses it on those same women to ask them out.
“Excuse me? Um, there’s a girl I saw over there who I thought was cute, but I’m not sure what to say to her,” he asks two unassuming women on the beach.
“Please tell me your boyfriend treats you right. You’re gorgeous,” is the line one of the ladies offers back to Fairhair.
So he returns later, in a slightly different look, to inquire if their boyfriends treat them right and to compliment their looks.
One of the women buries her face in her towel; her friend asks if he knows the guy who had just come up to them asking for advice.
At least the advice worked. She ends up giving Fairhair her number.
But not all of the tips work out. A couple of women realize that something is strange about being approached with the same lines that they gave out just moments earlier. Another woman who catches on to the prank finds it so funny that she offers up her number anyway.
Using food (coffee, ice cream), compliments (“You’re really cute.”), and the always-suspect “Don’t I know you?” are other viable options, according to the women in the video.
Fairhair’s latest video has been viewed more than 144,000 times since it was published to YouTube on Tuesday. Sure, it is not as popular as his September 2013 prank with 2.6 million views, but at least this time he kept his clothes on.
first impressions are everything especially if you are wanting to meet a girl or got a job interview. Get your tips here.
